Motor Works

As an aerospace and military industry leader in the design and manufacturing of electric fuel pumps for over 80 years, Weldon Pump has utilized numerous motors over the years. In this process we have evaluated and developed motors for many applications. After years of development and testing, we are offering our motors to other organizations looking for a simple, durable, and tested solution – Weldon Motor Works.

Our brushless DC motors are designed with the most difficult aviation, military, and industrial applications in mind. Each motor can be customized with specific speed, torque, sealing, and mounting to meet the most challenging environment and specification. Our motors are designed to meet all current RTCA/DO-160 requirements.

Another advantage of the Weldon Motor Works Brushless DC motor is the 2-wire simplified design. This design allows the customer to utilize our brushless motor in a traditional brushed application or as a drop-in replacement for existing brushed motors – with no need for external controls.

The integral electronic controller performs all functions necessary for proper commutation of the motor and includes features such as current limiting,  stall protection, over-temperature shut down and bus ripple monitoring.

Each motor is designed to operate continuously at full rated load in high-temperature environments.
